Farewell, dear Micky ❤️
“When you remember me, it means that you have carried something of who I am with you, that I have left some mark of who I am on who you are. It means that you can summon me back to your mind even though countless years and miles may stand between us. It means that if we meet again, you will know me. It means that even after I die, you can still see my face and hear my voice and speak to me in your heart.
For as long as you remember me, I am never entirely lost.”
Frederick Buechner - Whistling in the Dark, 1988.

I, and later my husband Jim and I shared many things with dear Micky ranging from sailing, holidays, celebrations, DIY, meals out, meals in, and art, both practical and academically, over many years.
But above all we shared interesting and inspiring conversation throughout all our shared activities, along with the pleasure of sharing our time and company. This I will miss very much indeed. Thank you Micky for all those happy and memorable times we spent together.

Micky you always talked about shaking hands with the Angel Gabriel - and now you've gone and done it! Rest in peace in heaven, lovely man. I will always remember our chats, your enthusiasm for life and your wonderful smile and sense of humour. You will live on in my and I'm sure many others' memory for ever.
